Jo Keltgen, Ed. S., NCSP - School Psychologist

Jo Keltgen Jo Keltgen, Ed.S., NCSP is nationally certified, and licensed in the state of Florida. She works with children and families in both Palm Beach and Broward counties. She conducts developmental assessments and evaluations for giftedness, potential learning disabilities, or cognitive delays. She is also trained to conduct autism and asperger syndrome disorder evaluations using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). Jo has had extensive experience working with infants as young as 6 months, and works with children up to the age of 17 years. She also works closely with parents and other educators by providing individual consultation, or seminars related directly to issues of parenting and children’s early education.

Jo completed her graduate studies at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She received both her Master’s Degree in Education and Educational Specialist Degree, with special emphasis on Preschool Assessment. As a Broward County School board employee for more than 16 years, Jo worked in the Head Start Program as the Mental Health Coordinator. There she provided oversight to the mental health services for all children, families, and employees of Broward County’s Head Start Program. She was a member of the program’s management system that supported the implementation of quality program standards through self-assessments and federal audits.

Jo’s most recent clinical experience was working at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida as a Pediatric Psychometrist. There she assisted two Developmental Pediatricians by providing neurobehavioral assessments to patients served in the Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics Department. In addition to her work in Developmental Pediatrics, Jo served as team member for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit’s Follow-up Clinic, providing infant developmental assessments to at-risk patients. Jo also served as a research team member and test developer for Functional MRI (fMRI) services offered through the radiology unit at All Children’s Hospital. She is currently employed by the School District of Palm Beach County, but serves as a Dual Practitioner by providing private evaluation services outside of her district position.

Jo looks forward to providing comprehensive and affordable psychoeducational and support services to children and families of all backgrounds. She is a professional member of the Florida Association of School Psychologists (FASP), and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
